Did JBL really quit or is he just on vacation?

Because I think he is a good heel. If he were to come back, he should probably announce as a commentator on Smackdown again. He did make the matches a bit more interesting & he had a bit of a sense of humour. I loved his feud with HBK. Is he working behind-the-scenes or something?
