Is it legal to own a lion?

My friend told me that Usain Bolt had a pet tiger, and I've made it a goal in my life to own a Falcon and Lion. I already know about all the tests and licenses it takes to own a falcon, and I'm guessing it takes even more for a lion. So any information would be appreciated.
