Is it time to move on from the guy I've liked for so long?

I don't think you'll seem desperate if you tell him how you feel about him. Just tell him that you have liked him for awhile now and if he feels the same great, ask him if he would want to hangout sometime and if he doesn't feel the same, its okay..there are plenty of other men =)
