Which video card is compatible for my computer?

I need to buy a new video card for my laptop in order to play the Sims 3. The game requires a 128 MG video card with DirectX 9.0c and the package lists supported video cards, such as Nvidia, ATI Radeon, and GMA. I have an Acer Aspire 3000 and was wondering which video card would be compatible for my laptop, or at least how to find out which video card would be compatible before I purchase it? Thanks!
