I'm 15 and not allowed to go to MCR/blink 182 concert?

My parents say its not safe and there will be too many wasted and drugged up people there and that "even if MCR fans aren't scary (which they think they are) Blink 182 fans definitely are" I'm in love with My Chemical Romance. They're my favorite band. I asked my parents and they were like "Yeah! Sure you can go!" I was like "Is this a dream? You're not going to take this back, are you?" and they were like "No and no." And then about a week later they say "No you can't go, it's not safe." It pretty much broke my heart.. By the way I'm female and when I was 13 I used to go to local screamo shows in basements of places and was in violent mosh pits and I could take care of myself.. but then my parents found out there was no parental supervision there and they freaked and never let me go again. I've never been to a concert because my parents are just that protective even though when they were young they went to them all the time. Is this good parenting? :/
