They need attention so badly, they just sleep with any guy who comes along (or hop in bed with them to get them to 'stay' or 'commit') and hope he will offer this in exchange. Maybe this accounts for why some people get dumped and used, they were easy targets with their desperation and innocence and the men just decided to take advantage of the situation for their own benefit.
