I need help with books set in 50-60's period?

I love books set in past. I love all of S.E Hinton books, I've read The Outsiders seven times, and the rest of books (Tex, Hawkes Harbor, Rumble Fish ect) once, I really like the Greasers and Socs period in time. I have read Go Ask Alice many times and loved it. I have read How To Kill a Mocking Bird and hated it (sorry to the people who liked it) I was thinking about The Car Thief, is that a good book? Anyways if you have any ideas on books I may like, just tell me and I'll try to read them :]
